Now think about what that said for a second. Grammatically and definition-wise, this is fairly accurate. But situation-wise, this is a little strange.
I feel like most people get less calm and more excited as they head for home. Especially if they’ve been gone for a while.
This just makes me think that Jonna is putting on a front and reconditioning her mind to prepare herself for whatever horrors wait for her at home.
The other option is that her ship heavily medicates her. Either is reasonable.
