He heard you with both ears, Tomahawk? You aren’t doing a very good job of whispering.
But I guess it’s more of a seductive whisper. About what you’re going to do with that ear of corn?
I’m not really sure what I think of that.
This definition got really dirty really fast.

Well that wraps up another page of The Super Dictionary! Come back tomorrow (and actually tomorrow, promise) for more adventures with the letter “E”!

Did they somehow travel to the Sahara or something? With a handful of American cacti?

You know, I was going to try to link this to the word “desert”, but it turns out that The Super Dictionary didn’t define “desert”! Or “dessert”! How did that slip me by until now?!
I wonder where Jody and Tomahawk are going with weapons drawn anyway. And I didn’t think that American deserts got so…dune-y.

So ends the penultimate page of the letter “D”! What’s in store tomorrow for our final D related adventures? Tune in to find out!

Probably a pretty good idea. He does live out in the middle of 18th century American wilderness. There’s a lot of nasty stuff out there.
And apparently Tomahawk is quite accident prone, another important reason not to let him blunder around at night with a musket. He’d probably end up shooting Jody.

Tom, you know that Jody lives for you. You live for each other, all alone in the wilderness and OH MY GOD THAT BEAR.

At first I thought, “Oh he got a splinter or just kind of got one of those little cuts you get when you do menial labor.”
But no, apparently he cut his hand so badly that Jody had to cut his food for him.
That is a pretty bad cut.
And apparently he does this often.
What was the rope cut for, Jody? A tourniquet for that time Tomahawk accidentally stabbed himself in the leg?

That sounds like a really silly argument they were having about how to cook soup. I’m sure it was delicious, though. After all, Jody does most of the cooking for a reason!

And so, with that rousing description of a “cover,” we conclude today’s page of The Super Dictionary. Come back tomorrow for more nonsense!

Nice of Tomahawk to take his turn with the meal making.
The fact that Jody cooked most of their dinners last winter continues to make me…suspicious about his social status.

Really? Enough for the whole winter?
I know it’s just you and Tomahawk out in your little loveshack, but that is a hell of a lot of wood.

You’ve used the word chip so many times in this short paragraph that it’s lost all meaning, completely defeating the point of this method of teaching.
However, I do wonder what Tomahawk found behind the secret door. I’m going to say a unicorn! Because that sounds as likely as anything.

Sounds like you’ve been stood up.
But it’s equally possible that Tomahawk’s being attacked by a bear and desperately needs your help.
You keep telling yourself that while you traipse through the woods looking for Tomahawk.
