The Super Dictionary

A Daily Dose of the 1970s in Action

"I came for the cakes. I stayed for the comments." – An Official Review from “Anonymous”

Now I’m even more disappointed in you, Super Dictionary.

First “bent” and now this? This could have been so much more interesting!

  • Atom stoodbesidea mouse that was bigger than him. Atom stood next to a mouse that was bigger than him. Watch out Atom, or he’ll nibble you!
  • Wonder Woman was beside Supergirl to see who was taller. Wonder Woman was next to Supergirl to see who was taller. [Speech balloon: WW: I am taller than you Supergirl!]
  • Robin was beside the library waiting for Batman to remember to pick him up. Robin was next to the library waiting for Batman to pick him up. [Thought balloon: R: I am beside myself with worry! I am so very worried! Where is Batman?]
  • Batman laid beside Catwoman in the bed. He laid next to her. [Thought balloon: BM: I think I am forgetting something. But I never forget anything.; CW: Good thing he forgot about Robin. I wanted to be beside Batman alone.]

Hopefully those substitute definitions can hold you over until tomorrow, when we return with another, hopefully less disappointing, page of The Super Dictionary!

Look under the cut for today’s very disappointing full page!
